Dr. Abilash Haridas, with his extensive training and experience, leads Astra Neurosurgical Institute in delivering advanced, compassionate neurosurgical care.

Dr Haridas completed his medical school at PSG Institute in India and began his career in General Surgery at The Brooklyn hospital in New York. He transferred to Harvard and joined the neurosurgery department at Brigham and Boston Children’s Hospital. He finished his neurosurgery residency at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

He pursued a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago followed by a complex cerebrovascular fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He is one of few neurosurgeons in the country who has undergone dual fellowships in these neurosurgical specialties. Dr Haridas has been active in neurosurgery since 2005 and continues to promote education and innovation both at the national and international level.
